BSRC Participates Thailand Oil and Chemical Spill Response Exercise, Strengthening Cooperation with Government and Partner Networks to Tackle Unexpected Emergencies

Mr. Phiphawat Sitthichaikasem, Vice President, Risk Management & SSHE of Bangchak Sriracha Public Company Limited (BSRC), along with representatives from the emergency preparedness team and marine operations unit of BSRC Refinery, participated in the 14th Thailand Oil and Chemical Spill Response Exercise. Representing the Oil Industry Environmental Safety Group Association (IESG), they joined forces with partner networks and government agencies including the Royal Thai Navy, the Marine Department, and Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Center (Thai-MECC) to ensure effective preparedness in handling unexpected emergencies.
The drill was held from May 20 to 22, 2025, organized by the Marine Department under the Ministry of Transport, the IESG, and Thai Oil Public Company Limited. Various relevant agencies also took part. The three-day event included updates on current water pollution issues and management strategies, national-level simulated drills such as bomb threats, suspicious object discoveries, and protest handling scenarios. Field exercises were also conducted around offshore buoys.
