BSRC Supports Project to Improve the Quality of Life for Local Fisherfolk

Ms. Tipsukol Duangthip, Public Affairs and Administrative Manager of Bangchak Sriracha Refinery, Bangchak Sriracha Public Company Limited (BSRC), represented the company in supporting a project aimed at improving the quality of life for local fisherfolk. The initiative involved providing essential boat maintenance equipment and organizing activities to conserve natural resources for model fishing groups. These include the coastal fishing group of Baan Ao Udom Community and the volunteer environmental fishing group of Baan Laem Chabang Community, in collaboration with local government agencies in Sriracha District, Chonburi Province, to promote sustainable community-based fishing practices.
As part of this project, BSRC provided a boat crane to enhance the efficiency of self-performed boat maintenance. In addition, portable solar-powered lights were supplied to increase nighttime safety. The company also supported the provision of marine paint and various fishing boat maintenance tools to help extend the lifespan of the vessels and reduce operating costs for local fishers. Furthermore, participants joined in cleaning up beach litter to help restore the marine environment and released aquatic species to instill long-term awareness about marine conservation within the community.
Ms. Teerawan Kimyong, Sriracha District Fisheries Officer, stated, “The generosity from Bangchak Sriracha Public Company Limited, consistently extended to all fishing groups, means a great deal. It's not just about funding or equipment support, but also about the encouragement that reminds us all that local fisheries still hold value and can develop together.”
BSRC continues to support social responsibility activities with a strong commitment to improving the quality of life in communities, in line with the company’s sustainable development approach.
