BSRC Receives Carbon Footprint for Organization Certificate, Reinforces Transparency and Commitment to Sustainability

Bangchak Sriracha Public Company Limited (BSRC) continues moving toward its low-carbon goal. Most recently, the company was awarded the Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) certification by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) during an award ceremony held on July 16, 2025, at the Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ).
Mr. Worapoj Rangsivichitprapa, Vice President, Refinery SSHE at Bangchak Sriracha Refinery, represented the company in receiving the award from Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, Chairman of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization). The award reflects the company’s transparency in reporting greenhouse gas emissions data and BSRC’s strong commitment to minimizing environmental impacts from its operations.
In 2024, BSRC reported its organizational carbon footprint in full compliance with the defined emission scopes. The details are as following.
- Scope 1 : Direct emissions from company-controlled activities amounted to 1,131,250 tons of CO2 equivalent.
- Scope 2 : Indirect emissions from energy purchased for use in operations amounted to 5,251 tons of CO2 equivalent.
The combined total carbon footprint for Scope 1 and Scope 2 was 1,136,501 tons of CO2 equivalent.
BSRC continues to improve its operational processes, particularly by maximizing energy efficiency, to ensure ongoing reductions in carbon emissions. Transparent reporting of the organization’s carbon footprint is one of the key mechanisms driving the global transition toward a low-carbon society in a stable and sustainable manner.
